Nestled amidst the rolling green fields of the Dentabella Marsh, and just a short distance from the beautiful Annapolis River, lies the Granvalley B&B. Conveniently located halfway between Granville Ferry and Historic Port Royal, we are also just six kilometers from the galleries, boutique shops, theatre, and wonderful local dining found in Annapolis Royal.
We invite you to make yourselves at home in our farmhouse, built in 1973 with the timber from our own woodlot. We look forward to sharing our home and lifestyle with you. Since 2005 we have welcomed guests from many parts of our beautiful world to our three generation family farm. You may sit on our deck overlooking the Acadian dykeland and the Annapolis River, relax under a shade tree, have a picnic in our yard, or roast marshmallows over a fire in the fire pit or chimnea. Just across the road is the home of our pure bred (registered) Holstein herd of dairy cows. You may see them crossing our country road on their way to pasture after morning milking (which starts at 5:30 a.m.!) or when they return late afternoon for the evening milking. If you wish, you may make arrangements to visit the dairy barn during the evening milking. Relax in one of our two comfortable rooms, explore the rich history and amazing beauty of the area and make wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.
carl_and_kathyWe offer two cozy rooms for your selection, one with a double bed and private four-piece bath, the other with a queen bed and ensuite bath. Both our Stoney Beach and Granville rooms provide warm comfort and country charm. We can also accommodate families.
While you visit you can enjoy our guest sitting room, take a walk on the nearby marsh or visit one of three historic sites within a five to ten minute drive. Champlain’s Port Royal Habitation, Fort Anne and the Melanson Settlement are all wonderful local treasures. The Annapolis Royal Farmers’ Market offers local fare and excitement each Saturday morning throughout the summer months.
After a restful night, enjoy a full hot breakfast in the dining room between 8 and 9am. Our home is smoke free.
