Mountain View Manor Guesthouse is situated next to a green belt in the tranquil neighborhood of Sandbaai, Hermanus, offering great views of the Mountain and only 350m from the Sandbaai or Onrus beaches. The guesthouse serves as an ideal base from which to explore the area, or for that quiet relaxing holiday, or an ideal overnight stop.
Mountain View Manor is owner run and managed by Charlise (an executive chef) and Geoff Elske (a tourism specialist) who ensure that you experience personalised hospitality. This large house has recently been turned into a unique spacious guesthouse, offering a unique décor for each suite and living area, with quality and comfortable furnishings which have all been re-purposed or made by hand. A key focus is on the bed experience, ensuring that your nights rest will be a great one! Charlise, an executive chef by trade, will ensure that your taste buds are also kept “very happy” with her unique breakfasts and light meals.
Accommodation in the West wing is in three large double en-suite bedrooms, as well as the East wing has a communal equipped kitchenette area, a sun room and games lounge with stunning views of the towering mountains, a lounge area with fireplace, DSTV and a library. The Sun Deck allows guests to relax and take in the vista with the sound of the crashing waves as the background noise.
The East wing comprises of a family unit with 3 bedrooms (main en-suite), 2nd and an open plan kitchenette / lounge, with adjoining private patio and braai facilities and private entrance.
The guesthouse is ideal for small groups, couples or small family either as an ideal base from which to explore the area, or for that quite relaxing holiday, or an ideal overnight stop, or a small conference / special occasion.
Mountain View Manor is the latest property, and expansion into the Western Cape, of the family owned hospitality business which has 2 other guesthouses in the Magaliesburg, namely Out of Africa and La Provence, as well as the World famous Goblin’s Cove Restaurant.
