Welcome to Hacienda Zorita! If you are a foodie, a wine lover, a traveller in pursuit of adventure & discovery or simply love life’s understated luxuries you have come to the right place.
Come here to stay!
Luscious outdoors with tucked away corners and secluded pools are what you have to look forward to. The waters of the River Tormes, a tributary of the Duero, flow under the La Casa Grande building. Inside you’ll find our farm-to-table restaurant, our wine & dine bar, the Gastro by Michelin-starred chef Victor Gutiérrez, the lounge with its film & fine food menu as well as the relaxing wine · spa. All carefully tailored to spoil you and make you want to come back for more.
This is Salamanca, the heart of the Duero Valley.
Arguably one of the most beautiful patches of the world, our valley is crossed by Europe’s longest “wine river”: the Duero. We’re right on the riverbank, few minutes away from the monumental Plaza Mayor. Our lively city is undisputedly the Valley’s city of Culture: a UNESCO World Heritage site populated with some 35,000 students and an endless number of monumental palaces, cathedrals, churches, museums, restaurants and what not. It also houses Europe’s 3rd oldest University, only comparable to Oxford and Bologna.
Back to the future.
That’s why the history draped on the walls of our 40 exclusive rooms & villas have been interspersed with contemporary interior design … and it works! We call it classic noveau and here it is at its best!
A Dominican estate dating back to the 14th century, which we fell in love with in 2000.
Founded in 1366, it was once a “casa hospitalaria” as well as the Order’s farm. For over a decade we’ve dedicated all of our time and enthusiasm into returning this place to its former glory and have managed to put it back to the way it was 700 years ago!
Christopher Columbus stayed here as a guest.
He came here to raise funds to finance a dream of his own: finding a new route to the Indies... though he ended up landing in the Americas! His spirit is still alive here. Like Columbus, we love turning dreams into reality.
Home to the MARQUÉS DE LA CONCORDIA family of wines.
If you’re into wine, you should know that this is the gateway to the Tierra del Pan y del Vino, the land of bread and wine. Vines have been growing here since 1366. This is also Spain’s first small luxury wine · hotel … we didn’t invent this place -- we just found it.
